I am so grateful to have worked in many aspects and levels of education for 23 years! I always thought I was doing what I was supposed to be with the level I was with until I found Boltz and middle school students this past year…..now I KNOW!
I am originally from a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (Ironwood) and received my bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University in Psychology and Social Work. I then went on to University of Wisconsin-Superior to earn my Master’s and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degrees in School Psychology. I began my career as a School Psychologist in the central valley of California. While working I went on to San Jose State to get a second Master’s in Educational Administration which led to the opportunity to work as the Special Education Director in California as well.
I then moved to Colorado and had the opportunity to work in District 6 in Greeley and gratefully found my home in Poudre School District since 2006. While in PSD I have worked as a School Psychologist, Counselor, Social Worker, Gifted Site Coordinator, Gifted Identification Specialist and now as the Dean of Students and Assistant Principal overseeing Integrated Services at Boltz. These roles gave me the opportunity to work with students from Pre-School through High School in all capacities.
In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and watching my kids do what they love (Kalcee is 19 and enjoys theater and Kaden is 15 and is an athlete enjoying almost all sports, but we spend most of our time with baseball). I feel grateful to finally find my place as a Phoenix and couldn’t be prouder to be a part of the Boltz family!
