Poudre School District is using a new online registration system called A Better Way Athletics for the 2026–2027 school year.
At this time, only fall sports are available for registration. Winter and spring sports will be added later.
Go to the A Better Way site at psd-athletics-registration
- Create an account, which allows you to enter the registration process.
- As you navigate through the registration process, you may exit at any time and return to complete; your progress will be saved.
- The entire process will take approximately 60 minutes, including videos.
- We highly encourage that before you start the process, all documents are present and your student-athlete is present.
- Note that if you register more than one athlete, each student will need to view the videos separately. If a student plays more than one sport, they will have to watch the videos only once each year.
- NEW THIS YEAR: There are short videos that parents/guardians are required to watch. These videos take about 7 minutes to view (you can increase playback speed).
- Students need to watch 4 short videos as part of registration. This will take approximately 15-20 minutes for the student to complete.
- There is a link to School Pay within the registration system, or go to https://psdschools.schoolpay.com/
- PSD Athletics Fee for each sport is $150.
- You may pay online via School Pay or with a card in person in the Boltz front office during office hours (7:00 am-2:45 pm). There are no longer any additional fees associated with paying through School Pay. Please be aware that cash or check payments will only be accepted in rare cases by PSD school offices.
- To pay by cash or check, you will need to go to the Support Service Center, 2407 Laporte Ave. 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
- Important: If you would like to include your spouse, a stepparent, guardian, grandparent, etc. in the registration for your child, do this using the “Add Relationship” tab. Please do this for anyone who needs to get sports information from the coach or school, since some communication will come through the A Better Way site.
- Important: There will be a place to upload your PSD physical form through the online process. You will only need pages 3 and 4 of the sports physical document, which can be scanned and uploaded, or PLEASE bring the complete paper form to the school health office. Please be sure you keep a copy of your physical (a copy can be made in the health office). The physical will be reviewed, and the date of the exam will be confirmed as valid. This will be done before clearing the athlete for participation in Athletics and their ability to receive their orange card.
- Physicals are valid for one year from the date of the exam (not the date the doctor signed if those dates are different).
- You must use the PSD Physical form. You can find a link on our Athletic webpages or pick up a copy in the Bolt Office.
- See our Athletic pages on the Boltz Website for quick and inexpensive places in Fort Collins to receive sports physicals if you can’t get into your primary care.
