Hi there, I'm Ms. Mac!
This is my 3rd year at Boltz, but my first year teaching! For the last two school years, I worked in this building as a paraprofessional supporting Multi-Cat before taking on my current role as a teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. I moved to Fort Collins for college in 2019 and graduated from Colorado State University in 2021 with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Special Education from University of Northern Colorado and anticipate to graduate in May 2026. At Boltz, I have coached Unified Basketball and Track, and I also love to help support our club for LGBTQIA+ students and their allies, Spectrum Club.
Outside of Boltz, I love to explore Colorado through skiing, camping, or hiking, travel anywhere with whales or alpacas, and spend time with those I love most (including my sweet dog, Cash). I am originally from a small town outside of Omaha, Nebraska and often visit home to see my family and friends.
I am so excited to meet you and your students this year!
The multi-categorical program within PSD Integrated Services is designed to meet the needs of students who qualify with any disability defined under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). I spend most of my time during the school day in various general education classes helping students on my caseload access the classes they are in.
Since I do occasional pull outs for small group work, testing, regulation breaks, etc., I have worked very hard to make my classroom a cozy home base for all students. I am passionate about providing an environment where every student feels safe and connected to the space around them. I try to have fun, engaging materials that promote both academic growth and relationship building among peers. I hope for my classroom to feel like a space where students can relax and be themselves while also holding a "ready" attitude where they can work hard.
