About Me

I am so excited to be a Phoenix!  My teaching career started after college with the opportunity to teach English in Hungary through the Peace Corps.  Since then, Colorado has become my home, and I have taught 6th and 7th grades for 16 years.  I love the energy and enthusiasm and community of middle school and can't imagine teaching anywhere else!

Aside from education, family is where my heart lays.  I have three daughters who are all PSD graduates, and I am so proud of the people they have become.  In my free time, I love to explore Colorado, hike, run, and spend time outdoors. But I have to admit, my favorite place in this great town is the library!  Books are my second family, and I spend as much time as I can reading.

My Classroom

In my classroom, I strive to create a community where every student feels welcome.  I believe that we are here to learn from each other, and it is the stories and connections of students that bring a classroom to life.

Every voice matters.  Every student has something to contribute.  Every student is needed.

Let's work together to make this a great year!
