I’m Mrs. Smith-Karl, and I’ve been dedicated to nurturing young minds for over 20 years. As a middle school Language Arts teacher and Reading Interventionist , I am passionate about helping students develop their reading skills and discover the joy of literature.
My journey in education has been incredibly rewarding, and I am thrilled to share my love for reading and learning with my students each day. With a focus on personalized instruction, I strive to make every lesson engaging and tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
Outside the classroom, I am a proud member of a blended family with four wonderful children ranging in age from 9 to 26. Balancing family life with a career in education keeps me on my toes and provides me with a wealth of experiences to draw upon in my teaching. My interests include reading, coloring, solving puzzles, cooking, and playing Mario Kart. I also love traveling and exploring new places, which often inspires new ideas for my classroom.
