Welcome to Boltz Middle School!
We are excited that you will be joining us next year! We have provided the following site that is designed to answer questions about becoming a Boltz Student/Parent/Guardian. Our goal is to support you and your student in your transition to Boltz Middle School. You are always welcome to reach out to us with any questions!
Registration Information for All Incoming 6th Grade Students:
All new or returning students to PSD will register for their neighborhood school. You can find your neighborhood school by visiting the School Locator web page. To enroll new or returning students, please visit the PSD Online Registration web page.
Students transitioning from a PSD elementary to middle school do not have to contact their schools. These fifth grade students are pre-registered at their neighborhood middle school and will register for their classes in February.
Students wishing to attend a school outside their attendance area must submit a School Choice application.
Core Classes for all 6th Graders
- English (ELA) 6
- Science 6/Social Studies 6
- Math (Accelerated students in math will be placed by district guidelines)

- Period 2: Extended Learning Opportunity
- Period 3: PE or Art

- Lunch (followed by recess)
- Period 5: English
- Period 6: Advisory
Extended Learning Opportunities:
- We have a dedicated Intervention/ Enrichment period during the school day. This time allows us to provide targeted support to students in need of skill-building in reading and math.
- This time also offers enrichment opportunities for students who are already proficient in these areas, enhancing their knowledge in Science, Math, Health, Social Studies, and Personal Finance.
All students who are NOT taking band or orchestra will take our “wheel” of electives.

Choosing Electives:
- All students must enter your elective choices on the Microsoft Form with your 5th grade teacher.
- If you are not taking band or orchestra, you will receive all other electives in the wheel.
- Health is required for all 6th grade students.
- Band 6 (meets every other day, all year)
- Orchestra 6 (meets every other day, all year)

- Instrument Demo Night: March 27, 6-7:30pm, in the BOLTZ COMMONS
- Fifth Grade Visits: MAY 9, 9:30-11:30 AM
- 6th Grade Transition with WEB Leaders (first day for 6th graders): AUGUST 13, 7:30AM
