Stellar Performance at Boltz's 1st XCountry Meet of the Season

Boltz cross country boys at start of Martin Meet on Saturday Aug. 29

Congratulations to the Boltz XC teams for their stellar performance at the John Martin Invitational on Saturday. We had 43 runners participating in varsity and open events.

Highlights from the event:

In the girls’ open event, our top 20 finishers were Carolyn Elliott in 16th and Colette Matthews in 19th in a field of 278 runners.

In the boys’ open, our top finisher was Everett Bender in 60th place out of 375 runners.

In the highly competitive girls’ varsity race, the Boltz team finished 10th overall with Lila Prouty as our top runner finishing in 24th out of 142 runner.

In the boys’ varsity event, the Boltz team finished 3rd overall out of 19 teams. Ansel Kirkpatrick finished in 10th overall with a time of 11:35.

Boltz top runner, Gus Magnan scorched the course in 10:32 setting and smashing the previous course record by nearly 30 seconds!

Our top improved times go to Veda Kenny who dropped 4.5 minutes from last year.  Ben Lenfert, Charlie Pinaud, Colin Hagdorn, and Liam Hagdorn all  improved by their times by over 2 minutes each from last year. 

This week, the Boltz XC crew heads to Timnath Reservoir to face Timnath, Preston, and Blevins teams.
