Boltz Updates and Reminders for 11/30/17

Volunteers Needed:

JA Finance Park

During the 8th grade visit to JA Finance Park next week on the 7th and the 8th, students are immersed in a reality-based decision-making process that addresses aspects of individual family budgeting including housing, transportation, food, utilities, healthcare, investments, philanthropy and banking.  Each student is presented with a unique life situation that identifies the details of their adult persona from marital status to education and from number of dependents to salary.  This is a fun event to chaperone, please consider signing up below

8th Grade Parents - Yearbook:

Even though the final deadline for purchasing your child's yearbook baby ad has passed, there is a limited amount of ad space still available.  So, if you are still interested, don't delay, please submit your ad as soon as you can.  We will be accepting late ad submissions for the yearbook by mail or online until December 5th.  We don't want you to miss out on this very special opportunity to recognize your child.  For more information, please visit www.TheYearbookCompany.com

Helping Boltz Families for the Holidays:

If you would also like to contribute to assisting a Boltz family in need this season, you can drop off a financial donation to the front office.  For questions, please contact Deb Morrison in the counseling office at demorris@psdschools.org or 472-3715

7th and 8th grade Wrestlers:

This year, Mr. Lupe Padilla will be leading our wrestling team and he has a great season planned for you.  All the paperwork (except the physical) can be filled out online and will be open for registration on December 9.  If you would like to do the registration and fee payment in the office, that is always available as well.  Please make sure that your physical is current before you start the official season.  Coach Padilla will be offering two wrestling clinics and a preseason camp before the actual season begins. These are opportunities for you to get in the gym and get some extra mat time.

These dates are: Saturday, 12/16/17 from 8-noon and 1/6/18 from 8-noon in the Boltz Middle School gym. The Pre-season Camp will occur from 1/8/18 to 1/12/18 in the small gym and the regular season begins on 1/16/18.

For more information please contact Norma Huerta-Kelley, Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at nhuertak@psdschools.org or (970) 472-3711.
